Assessment Rubrics

Rubric for Assessment Plan/Results Review

In an effort to promote continuous improvement, the College uses rubrics as the standard method to provide feedback on Assessment Plans and Assessment Results. The rubric emphasizes the items below:

  • Outcomes that are aligned with Mission (Unit and College); focused on continuous improvement; and written in simple terms, easily measured, and sustainable over time.
  • Assessment measures/performance expectations that state measures clearly; specify desired outcomes relative to performance; and are compatible with resources/support currently available.
  • Assessment results that provide sufficient evidence to formulate recommendations; and explain data analyses including achievement levels and strengths and weaknesses.
  • Use of results for improvement that make recommendations based on data; and describe where and when changes will be made.
  • Budget information that describes impact of evidence-based changes on budget.
